Give Kids a Smile
In February each year, Sonoma County dentists, their dental team members, dental hygiene students and community volunteers provided free oral health care services to children from low-income families across the county. Give Kids A Smile Day enhances the health of large numbers of needy children. It also provides an opportunity to help children enroll in insurance plans so that they may receive continuing dental care. Children with urgent oral health needs, such as serious infection which left untreated could compromise their overall health, are also identified and referred for immediate care.
