During the Earth Day weekend of April 20-23, Silk Moon boutique hosted a benefit trunk sale organized by Naot Footwear to supply the women of Sloan House with brand new shoes. With the help of our Sloan Angels, and Chris Smith of the Press Democrat, we successfully got the word out. The benefit trunk sale was immediately successful, and over 100 pairs of new Naot women’s shoes worth an estimated $15,000 were donated to the Sloan House residents.

The ladies at Silk Moon personally delivered the shoes to a very happy Sloan Director Kathy Ries:

“It’s just amazing. The women were excited, and these are really nice shoes! They will provide the support these women need as good walking shoes for taking public transit, job-searching, getting needed medical care, and fulfilling their community service. I think all my ladies will have very happy feet.”

CAP Sonoma, the Sloan Angels, and the Sloan House residents wish to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the altruism and care of Naot Footwear and Silk Moon Gallery in Sebastopol, CA, for finding in Sloan House a place to pour their heart and kindness. You can find Naot footwear at Silk Moon on Main

Street in Sebastopol, or online at naot.com.
