• Mission: To develop a sustainable collaborative community system that will
  improve the quality and access of oral health care while promoting prevention for
  all people of Sonoma County.
• Community Health initiatives: Coalition-building. Public education on children’s
  dental needs. Community and school-based prevention education. Screening
  programs. Data collection. Policy change to allow school nurses and others to
  apply varnish. Flouridation campaign.
• Health System initiatives: Kid’sNet dental provider network. Provider
  participation in free screenings (school-based and community-wide). Training
  primary care providers to do oral health screenings and fluoride varnish. Efforts to
  enhance reimbursements for fluoride varnish/sealants. PDI surgery center.
