¡Por favor vea la versión en español a continuación!

We are excited to announce the reopening of the Child Care Facilities Grant for its second round. This initiative, led by the Community Action Partnership of Sonoma County in collaboration with the Community Child Care Council of Sonoma County (4Cs), aims to support the enhancement, expansion, and construction of childcare facilities in Sonoma County, excluding the Santa Rosa city limits.

Important Information for Previous Applicants:

If you have previously submitted an application, you will be required to update your quotes for consideration in this round of funding. These quotes will need to be updated, to reflect increased or decreased pricing. If there is no change in the quotes previously submitted, you will need a signed letter from the contractors stating that they will honor the previously quoted prices. Please follow the steps outlined in the application link below thoroughly.

In cases where the scope of work has undergone significant changes, a new application will need to be submitted. If this is the case, please follow the steps outlined in the application link below thoroughly.

If your project scope has undergone significant changes or adjustments since your initial application, it is crucial to submit a new and complete application form. This ensures that all the details and particulars of your project are current and accurately represented for the evaluation process. Any major alterations in the project scope that are not reflected in a new application may result in the disqualification of your project from the grant consideration process.

Please take the time to review and ensure that your project details are up-to-date before submitting your application.

New Applicants:

We are welcoming new applications for this second round of funding. Please be sure to follow the steps outlined in the application link below thoroughly.

About the Grant:

The primary goal of the Early Care and Education Recovery and Expansion (ECERE) Program is to amplify access to high-quality childcare options. This is achieved by expanding and retaining childcare slots for working families in the broader Sonoma County region.

Here is a link to our Grant Info Doc that gives a more detailed explanation of the grant opportunity.

Eligibility:

The grant is open to early childcare providers who need to make capital improvements to their sites. This encompasses preserving, enhancing, or expanding existing childcare spaces and maintaining or increasing their capacity to cater to children from birth to five years old. If you have questions about your eligibility, please use this link to verify your eligibility.

Funding Details:

Funding requests can be made up to $50,000 for licensed family care facilities of any size.

Center-based facilities serving a minimum of 15 children can request up to $100,000.

Application and Funding Schedule:

The first round of funding prioritized applicants who met at least one of the conditions listed in the “highest priority” list. Those from the first round who were not selected will automatically be considered in the second round, pending the updated invoices.
